Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Arno, Florence by Ogden Minton Pleissner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,944.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ogden Minton Pleissner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Down's Gulch, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 84,000.00 (€ 70,933.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Arno, Florence von Ogden Minton Pleissner kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.944,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ogden Minton Pleissner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Down's Gulch beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für USD 84.000,00 (€ 70.933,96) versteigert wurde.
