This artwork by Ogle Winston Link achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2020. In the Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs auction, the work Selected Images sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,678.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ogle Winston Link - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected images, 1955-1958, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ogle Winston Link erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs wurde die Arbeit Selected Images für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.678,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92) versteigert wurde.
