Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Legong Dance by Nyoman Gunarsa. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,150.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nyoman Gunarsa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancers, which sold at auction in July 2003 for HKD 107,550.00 (€ 11,200.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Legong Dance von Nyoman Gunarsa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.150,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Gunarsa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancers beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für HKD 107.550,00 (€ 11.200,58) versteigert wurde.
