A top price for Nyoman Gunarsa - as previously expected
In July 2003 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction SOUTHEAST ASIAN AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES, which included the work Dancers by Nyoman Gunarsa. The price achieved of HKD 107,550.00 (€ 11,200.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dancers is the most expensive artwork by Nyoman Gunarsa that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancers von Nyoman Gunarsa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 107.550,00 (€ 11.200,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dancers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nyoman Gunarsa, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
