Upper estimate price exceeded by 46 %.
In June 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Balinese Dancers by Nyoman Gunarsa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 8,750.00 (€ 1,005.03), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nyoman Gunarsa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancers in July 2003 with an auction result of HKD 107,550.00 (€ 11,200.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Dancers von Nyoman Gunarsa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 8.750,00 (€ 1.005,03) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Gunarsa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancers im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 107.550,00 (€ 11.200,58).
