Poetry, Persian mansucript on paper, 62ff. plus 3 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of elegant black nasta'liq divided into two columns, headings in blue and gold ink, the opening folio with an illuminated shamsa containing the title of the work in white nasta'liq on gold ground, the opening bifolio with an illuminated heading in gold and polychrome margins with added depictions of turbanned figures in gold-outlined landscapes, small floral cartouches on either side of the lower part of the text panel, the following page with a thin illuminated band marking the beginning of the text, the colophon signed and flanked on either side by triangular cartouches containing floral sprays on gold ground, in later brown morocco stamped and gilded binding with flap

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,639.84). With this result, Copied By Shah Mahmud Nishapuri, Safavid Iran, 16Th Century is even the most expensive work of art by Nur Al-Din 'Abd Al-Rahman Jami that we have observed at auctions so far.
