Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still life with fruit and jug by Norman Town was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 418.25 (€ 626.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Town - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Bottles, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.95).

Die Arbeit Still life with fruit and jug von Norman Town wurde im März 2004 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 418,25 (€ 626,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Town mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Bottles beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für GBP 956,00 (€ 1.375,95) versteigert wurde.
