Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Town could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Autumn Landscape changed hands for GBP 298.75 (€ 447.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Town - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Bottles, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.95).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Town konnte im März 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Autumn Landscape für GBP 298,75 (€ 447,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Town mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Bottles beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für GBP 956,00 (€ 1.375,95) versteigert wurde.
