Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Thelwell could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The next time a fault develops while I'm out of the room, you'll all sit quietly in your seats until I return; and Giving them a lift was one thing! changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 638.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Thelwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'How many trading stamps did they give you with him?' in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,349.99).
