Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work That would make a nice little farm for someone; and Never camp on agricultural land without first obtaining the farmer's permission by Norman Thelwell for GBP 500.00 (€ 638.43). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Norman Thelwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'How many trading stamps did they give you with him?' in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,349.99).
