Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Noriyuki Nakayama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Mermaid Eyes & Farewell in November sold for HKD 295,500.00 (€ 25,832.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noriyuki Nakayama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New Wind, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 667,500.00 (€ 54,952.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Noriyuki Nakayama erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Mermaid Eyes & Farewell in November für HKD 295.500,00 (€ 25.832,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Noriyuki Nakayama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New Wind beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 667.500,00 (€ 54.952,92) versteigert wurde.
