A top price for Noriyuki Nakayama
When the work New Wind by Noriyuki Nakayama was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 667,500.00 (€ 54,952.92). This high result makes New Wind the most expensive artwork by Noriyuki Nakayama that we have observed at auctions so far.
