This artwork by Nona Garcia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Planted Landscape #1 sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 20,343.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nona Garcia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Garden, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nona Garcia erzielte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Planted Landscape #1 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 20.343,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nona Garcia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In The Garden beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23) versteigert wurde.
