Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Ode to Wonderland by Nona Garcia. It changed hands for a price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 34,991.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nona Garcia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Garden, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ode to Wonderland von Nona Garcia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 34.991,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nona Garcia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In The Garden beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23) versteigert wurde.
