Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Hallow Iii by Nona Garcia. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,841.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nona Garcia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Garden in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hallow Iii von Nona Garcia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.841,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nona Garcia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In The Garden im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23).
