Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Reliance, a bay racehorse by Nina Colmore was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 717.00 (€ 1,067.11). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nina Colmore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Setting off with the Cottesbrook, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,912.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Reliance, a bay racehorse von Nina Colmore im Juni 2004 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 717,00 (€ 1.067,11) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Nina Colmore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Setting off with the Cottesbrook beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.912,74) versteigert wurde.
