A top price for Nikos Xenos - as previously expected
The work Greek A Rocky Beach by Nikos Xenos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,126.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Greek A Rocky Beach is the most expensive artwork by Nikos Xenos that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Greek A Rocky Beach von Nikos Xenos kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.126,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Greek A Rocky Beach das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nikos Xenos, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
