Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nikos Xenos could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction, the work The Acropolis, Athens changed hands for GBP 188.00 (€ 270.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikos Xenos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek A Rocky Beach in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,126.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nikos Xenos konnte im Juni 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER wechselte die Arbeit The Acropolis, Athens für GBP 188,00 (€ 270,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikos Xenos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek A Rocky Beach im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.126,13).
