Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Nikolas Gambaroff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,051.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolas Gambaroff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,935.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nikolas Gambaroff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.051,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolas Gambaroff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.935,62).
