The work Before The Rain by Nicholas Roerich was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 497,000.00 (€ 700,763.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicholas Roerich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Himself Came, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 1,756,500.00 (€ 2,459,554.43).

Die Arbeit Before The Rain von Nicholas Roerich wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 497.000,00 (€ 700.763,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Roerich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Himself Came beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 1.756.500,00 (€ 2.459.554,43) versteigert wurde.
