This artwork by Nikolai Efimovich Timkov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2007. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,605.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nikolai Efimovich Timkov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Russian Fall, 1964 sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 28,000.00 (€ 17,985.61).
