This artwork by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. In the Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons auction, the work Set Design sold for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,917.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Village, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois erzielte im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons wurde die Arbeit Set Design für GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.917,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Village beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 34.572,32) versteigert wurde.
