Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Stage Designs for Prince Igor by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois was sold in the Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2005. The price achieved of USD 9,000.00 (€ 7,503.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Village in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32).
