Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work “Gamle Grethe fra Østofte” by Nicoline Tuxen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,800.00 (€ 375.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicoline Tuxen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Voksende Æblegren med modne Æbler” in April this year with an auction result of DKK 29,000.00 (€ 3,890.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit “Gamle Grethe fra Østofte” von Nicoline Tuxen im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.800,00 (€ 375,62) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicoline Tuxen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Voksende Æblegren med modne Æbler” im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 29.000,00 (€ 3.890,31).
