In July last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London, which included the work Man with Beard by Nicole Eisenman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,588.61), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicole Eisenman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mermaid Catch in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,013,215.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man with Beard von Nicole Eisenman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.588,61) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicole Eisenman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mermaid Catch im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.013.215,32).
