Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicolás García Uriburu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in October 2016. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Le Grand Fourmilier sold for EUR 40,300.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolás García Uriburu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolás García Uriburu erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Le Grand Fourmilier für EUR 40.300,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolás García Uriburu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80) versteigert wurde.
