However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas François Dun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young lady, wearing silver tasselled bright blue scarf in her brown curling hair, facing right in white dress, cameo brooch pinned at corsage, red and blue bordered white stole draped around her shoulders, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,023.46).
