Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work Indian Girl (Portrait of Lolita) by Nicolai Fechin. The price achieved of USD 302,400.00 (€ 261,772.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolai Fechin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Nadezhda Sapozhnikova in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,650,900.00 (€ 4,144,314.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Girl (Portrait of Lolita) von Nicolai Fechin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 261.772,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolai Fechin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Nadezhda Sapozhnikova im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.650.900,00 (€ 4.144.314,62).
