Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art, which included the work A Group of Five Costume Designs for Prince Igor by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois. The price achieved of USD 9,000.00 (€ 7,503.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Village in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Group of Five Costume Designs for Prince Igor von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.000,00 (€ 7.503,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Village im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 34.572,32).
