This artwork by Nicolaas Verkolje achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2009. In the Old Master and 19th Century Art auction, the work A young woman holding a flower sold for EUR 23,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolaas Verkolje - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Presentation In The Temple, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 60,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolaas Verkolje erzielte im Oktober 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit A young woman holding a flower für EUR 23.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Verkolje mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Presentation In The Temple beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
