It achieved a price of EUR 3,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas Verkolje achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Presentation In The Temple in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 60,000.00.

Die Arbeit Two children and a dog, after a sculpture possibly by François Duquesnoy; A partial study of the same subject von Nicolaas Verkolje kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Verkolje erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Presentation In The Temple im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.000,00.
