Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The Rafael Valls Sale, which included the work Hercules And Omphale by Nicolaas Verkolje. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,751.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas Verkolje achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Presentation In The Temple in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 60,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Rafael Valls Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hercules And Omphale von Nicolaas Verkolje zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.751,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Verkolje erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Presentation In The Temple im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.000,00.
