Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work A 'bomschuit' on the beach by Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen along a shoreline by a village, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A 'bomschuit' on the beach von Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen along a shoreline by a village beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
