Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Shipping On A River by Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen for EUR 1,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen along a shoreline by a village, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shipping On A River von Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen für EUR 1.875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Martinus Wijdoogen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen along a shoreline by a village beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
