The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,896.86), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicola Simbari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Plage in December 2014 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,989.17).

Die Arbeit Studio In Gold And Pink von Nicola Simbari wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.896,86) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicola Simbari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Plage im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.989,17).
