Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nicola Malinconico could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work The Miracle of the Ass changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,603.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicola Malinconico have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Il Buon Samaritano in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicola Malinconico konnte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit The Miracle of the Ass für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.603,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicola Malinconico auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Il Buon Samaritano im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.040,00.
