Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aaron and the punishment of Korah by Nicola Malinconico was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 3,010.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicola Malinconico have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Il Buon Samaritano in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aaron and the punishment of Korah von Nicola Malinconico wurde im Januar 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 3.010,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicola Malinconico auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Il Buon Samaritano im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.040,00.
