Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Rebecca And Eliezer At The Well by Nicola Malinconico for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,564.95). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Nicola Malinconico have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Il Buon Samaritano in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,040.00.
