Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,500.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicola Grassi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Holy Family, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 38,211.94).
