Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La Vierge de l'Immaculée Conception apparaissant à un saint appuyé à un autel entouré d'anges by Nicola Grassi was auctioned at Christies in Paris in March 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,292.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicola Grassi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 38,211.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La Vierge de l'Immaculée Conception apparaissant à un saint appuyé à un autel entouré d'anges von Nicola Grassi im März 2003 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.292,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicola Grassi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Family im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 38.211,94).
