Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Windswept Lion, Serengeti by Nick Brandt was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,130.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nick Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Windswept Lion, Serengeti von Nick Brandt kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.130,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nick Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03).
