Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicholas Roerich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work The Steed Of Ghesser Khan sold for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,325.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Roerich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Himself Came in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,756,500.00 (€ 2,459,554.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicholas Roerich erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Steed Of Ghesser Khan für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.325,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Roerich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Himself Came im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.756.500,00 (€ 2.459.554,43).
