Auction result well in line with expectations
The work South Africanunxeme by Nicholas Hlobo was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 59,774.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Nicholas Hlobo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,912.42).
