In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work South Africaniingqondi Zaseafrica by Nicholas Hlobo. The auction ended at the price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,849.43), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Nicholas Hlobo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,912.42).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit South Africaniingqondi Zaseafrica von Nicholas Hlobo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.849,43) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Hlobo konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2017 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 68.912,42) versteigert.
