The work Australian Two Pears On A Plate by Nicholas Harding was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The result of AUD 3,000.00 (€ 1,763.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Harding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian back Beach Pandanus in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,507.46).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Australian Two Pears On A Plate von Nicholas Harding wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von AUD 3.000,00 (€ 1.763,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicholas Harding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian back Beach Pandanus im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 18.000,00 (€ 10.507,46).
