The »bidding war« ended at AUD 15,000.00 (€ 8,756.22), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicholas Harding; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Australian back Beach Pandanus sold at auction in August 2008 with the realized price of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,507.46).
