The work Australian beach Life (Flag And Figure) by Nicholas Harding was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 15,000.00 (€ 8,756.22), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicholas Harding; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Australian back Beach Pandanus sold at auction in August 2008 with the realized price of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,507.46).

Die Arbeit Australian beach Life (Flag And Figure) von Nicholas Harding wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 15.000,00 (€ 8.756,22) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nicholas Harding; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Australian back Beach Pandanus im August 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 18.000,00 (€ 10.507,46).
