Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicasio Fernandez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in May last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work No Time 2 B Still sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,010.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicasio Fernandez; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quitting sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,421.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicasio Fernandez erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit No Time 2 B Still für USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.010,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nicasio Fernandez; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quitting im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.421,77).
