A top price for Nicasio Fernandez - as previously expected
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Quitting by Nicasio Fernandez. The price achieved of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,421.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Quitting is the most expensive artwork by Nicasio Fernandez that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quitting von Nicasio Fernandez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.421,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Quitting das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nicasio Fernandez, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
