Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nguyen Trung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June last year. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Vach Da (Cliff) sold for HKD 204,000.00 (€ 24,825.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 78,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Trung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies in the Peach Garden, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Vach Da (Cliff) für HKD 204.000,00 (€ 24.825,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 78.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Trung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies in the Peach Garden beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75) versteigert wurde.
