Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nguyen Trung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Lotus Buds sold for HKD 255,000.00 (€ 30,558.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nguyen Trung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ladies in the Peach Garden sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Lotus Buds für HKD 255.000,00 (€ 30.558,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ladies in the Peach Garden im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75).
